Become Part of a Global Community Crafting Spaces for Stories That Connect Us

Coda & ZEG are uniting journalists, artists, thinkers and changemakers to create spaces where meaningful conversations drive real understanding.

Why now?
2025 marks a critical inflection point. As authoritarian networks strengthen globally and AI accelerates information manipulation, the need for trusted spaces that bridge divides has never been more urgent.
We’re expanding our model across continents this year, creating a network of live journalism experiences that connect unlikely allies and surface solutions hidden from mainstream view. As a founding member, you’ll help determine which bridges we build first.
A growing journey
This membership program is just beginning. As a founding member, you’re joining us at the ground floor of something we’re building together. We’ll be expanding benefits, adding experiences, and creating new connection points throughout 2025 based directly on member feedback and emerging opportunities. Your early participation gives you a voice in shaping what this community becomes and helps us answer a crucial question: how do we create spaces where understanding flourishes in a divided world?

FAQs
What is ZEG? “Zeg” means “the day after tomorrow” in one of the world’s most ancient languages: Georgian. ZEG began as a storytelling festival born out of a collaboration between journalists at Coda and entrepreneurs in Tbilisi, Georgia. It has evolved into a global community bringing together journalists, artists, thinkers, and changemakers. It represents our vision for a new kind of platform that brings human connection back to storytelling in the age of AI and digital fragmentation. Unlike traditional media events, ZEG creates spaces where important stories meet meaningful conversations, breaking down silos between disciplines and perspectives to generate unexpected insights and solutions. Through the ZEG Network, we’re expanding this model beyond a single festival to create a movement that transforms how stories are discovered, shared, and understood.
What makes ZEG different from other festivals? Unlike traditional conferences where you passively consume content, ZEG creates carefully curated collisions between unlikely perspectives. Every session is designed to break patterns and forge connections mainstream platforms can’t create.

What is a ZEG Supra? A Supra is a traditional Georgian feast where food, wine, and conversation flow for hours. Led by a toastmaster (Tamada), it creates a unique space where hierarchies dissolve and authentic exchange flourishes. Our ZEG Supras blend this ancient tradition with journalism’s most pressing questions, creating an unforgettable experience of connection.

“The Supra isn’t just another networking dinner – it is a masterclass in how conversation itself can become an art form. Between Georgian wine, multiple courses, and traditional toasts, I always find myself in dialogue with people I’d normally never encounter. Those connections are transformative for my own understanding of my own work.” Joe Sabia, creator of “73 Questions”
How can I maximize my membership if I can’t attend in person? Our virtual connection points happen year-round, including pattern recognition briefings, connect sessions with correspondents, and advance access to all Coda Live broadcasts. Many members find these ongoing touchpoints even more valuable than the festival itself.
